System identification for essential oil extraction system: An overview

This paper introduces a new avenue for research by presenting the gap between the essential oil extraction technique studies and the system identification studies. In the essential oil extraction research, temperature plays an important role in producing the essential oils. Numerous published articl...

This paper introduces a new avenue for research by presenting the gap between the essential oil extraction technique studies and the system identification studies. In the essential oil extraction research, temperature plays an important role in producing the essential oils. Numerous published articles in this area have highlighted several temperature settings and their effects on the extraction. In spite of that, there is no published articles has focused on proper control of the temperature in extraction process. This paper addresses a new prospect for improving the control in extraction temperature with initial work focused on the system identification of steam temperature in distillation extraction processes. ©2009 IEEE.
