Description
Summary:Genetic and recombinant engineering are important discoveries that have generated great development in the field of modern biotechnology, particularly in research and development (R & D). Nevertheless, such developments have given rise to religious and ethical issues especially those that involve artificial dissemination technique, organ transplantation, cloning, and the genetic engineering itself. Ethical issues are often highlighted in many fields of knowledge and they play a very important role in the human life system, as well as their close relationship with religion. This paper intends to study and reveal the human genome project and other human genetic issues that came about from the perspective of science and Islam. One such theory is the Darwinian theory of evolution. Among such considered theories are the Darwinian theory of evolution, the human genome project, human cloning and eugenic. Finally, all issues arising from the application of human genetic technology need to be carefully addressed through ethical science as well as its integration with the teachings of Islam so that achievements in this area will not destroy nature and human population. Rather, it could be used to promote a better human life and a more conducive environment in the future.
