總結:The objectives of this study are first, to understand community attitude in food waste recycling as a business opportunity and second, to gauge their expectations of the local authority. In order to examine the above, a total of 171 respondents residing in Kuala Terengganu for at least two years were interviewed for this study. The results indicated that the community showed a moderate level of interest in engaging in food waste business opportunity and had high expectations of the local authority whereby they believed that the latter should aggressively promote recycling food waste products through the media, establish early education of food waste recycling in schools, enforce law to fight food waste problem and lastly, provide financial aid and courses for interested parties to get involved in the business of converting waste to money. © Universiti Putra Malaysia Press.
