Summary:This paper focused on the steering position control for automatic reverse parking of a direct current (DC) drive electric car. The steering position control was integrated into a vehicle cornering algorithm using a two-turn/double-circle concept. The control technique was simulated using MATLAB/Simulink; the results showed that the technique successfully met the objective of steering position control for reverse parking.
