| Summary: | The aim of this study is to analyse how the Korean mobile network industry is related to social value, using social network analysis and system dynamics analysis, and to provide policy suggestions for measuring social value in various fields in the future. The cases for analysis are limited to those relating to Korea’s mobile network industry. The analytical methods used, social network analysis and system dynamics analysis, have recently been in the limelight in social science research. In addition, the qualitative aspect of the study was complemented by discussion and consensus among the four members of a focus group consisting of an industrial engineering expert, a mobile network engineering expert, a social value measurement expert, and the author. The research results show that text mining and system dynamics analysis have great significance as methods of measuring the social value generated not only in the mobile network field but also in various industrial fields. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2023.
