Awareness and Feasibility of M-Health Application in Increasing Health Quality: A Preliminary Investigation

A preliminary study was conducted to ascertain the level of awareness among the general public regarding the "M-Health" application and its capability to aid them in monitoring or obtaining health-related information. An online survey was performed with 163 individuals. The main objective of this survey is to investigate whether the respondents possess the necessary infrastructure, such as smart devices and an internet connection to utilize M-Health. The respondents were also asked about their awareness of M-Health and the health-related information they seek through the internet. Besides that, this study also intended to investigate the feasibility and willingness of the participants to use M-Health in the future. As a result, this survey was able to gather baseline data on the participants' level of awareness regarding MHealth, with the majority of them having never heard the term 'M-Health' previously. Additionally, this study elicited information regarding the type of health-related information they want and the functions that are necessary for an M-Health application. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
