Summary:Academic English and academic writing have received widespread attention in the field of English teaching in recent years. There are problems in the academic English writing process of graduate students in Southeast Asian countries, such as structural confusion, neglect of writing steps, and numerous language errors. This article takes Thai graduate students as an example for research and proposes solutions and strategies. Writing teachers need to actively face the problems in students’ writing process, analyse these problems, and find effective solutions to help students solve the difficulties of academic paper writing. © 2024, Scibulcom Ltd..
