This initiative represents a groundbreaking visual interpretation that combines audio-visual elements with traditional textbook information. A notable project within this context aims to revolutionize the teaching of history by leveraging Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Focused on the literature “Tokoh-tokoh Pejuang Malaysia,” the project provides an interactive exploration of warriors’ biographies, utilizing empirical visual references to ensure the preservation of original data. The effectiveness of this approach was evaluated through an online survey involving 71 high school students. Their feedback underscored the positive impact of multimedia interactivity on the study of history, revealing that technologies like AR and interactive multimedia contribute to a more immersive learning experience. This echoes the broader goals outlined in Malaysia's Blueprint 2013–2025, emphasizing the importance of globalized online education and continuous learning throughout one's life. As part of this educational paradigm shift, traditional textbooks and resources are gradually phased out in favor of more dynamic digital learning strategies. The overall positive response from surveyed individuals further strengthens the case for the widespread adoption of interactive multimedia in education, aligning with Malaysia's commitment to embrace innovative approaches that enhance the quality and accessibility of learning experiences. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
