Description
Summary:In the competitive global business landscape, firms must develop robust supply chain strategies. This is crucial in the oil and gas sector, characterized by volatile markets, regulatory challenges, and technological advancements. Digital Supply Chain (DSC) management enhances operational efficiency, creating new income sources and business value. This study evaluates DSC's impact on firm performance in the oil and gas industry, using 523 PETRONAS staff from gas processing and oil refinery departments. Multiple regression analysis shows DSC significantly improves firm performance, enhancing efficiency, visibility, time savings, and competitiveness. The study also highlights the importance of internal factors like communication, competence, transparency, and training. Incorporating DSC with these factors leads to better operational efficiency and profitability. Optimizing digital applications and human capital elements across the supply chain fosters competitive advantage and enhances firm performance. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
