總結:Cognitive decline is the hallmark of aging. There have been continuous efforts on designing Assistive Technology for Cognition (ATC) for elderly people with these deficits. However, current technology application does not address the problems of elderly holistically. Most of the applications are designed to support elderly people with physical, emotional and social; overlooking the spiritual aspects. This paper reports the findings of a preliminary study that investigates the effects of cognitive impairments to their spiritual activity specifically praying. The preliminary study was conducted using 40 elderly people aged between 60 to 75 years old. The findings provide the basis for preliminary recommendations for techno-spiritual aid to compensate elderly Muslims with cognitive impairments for their prayer practices which will promote their positive cognitive and spiritual health. © 2014 IEEE.
