Integrating halalHalal principles into healthcareHealthcaresupply chainSupply chainmanagementManagement is essential to comply with Islamic laws and lifestyle. With the increasing demand for halal healthcare, it is crucial to address the unique challenges in the sector. Despite its growing popularity, the halal healthcare sector often receives less attention than the food industry. This chapter explores integrating the Theory of Constraints (TOC) into a systemic healthcare supply chain to enhance operational optimisation in healthcare provision that addresses halal compliance requirements. Using a qualitative case study methodology involving a private hospital, the implementation of TOC and halal-centric initiatives from a supply chainSupply chain perspective are analyzed. The findings indicate tangible improvements in supply chain efficiency, financial prudence, and service quality are imperative. This chapter emphasises the significance of aligning operational processes with operational and religious imperatives in healthcare provision. It calls for further research into the intersection of TOC and explores the impact of religiously compliant healthcare practices on patient satisfaction and healthHealth outcomes. This chapter is pertinent as it emphasizes the potential for broader implementation of the TOC process across various industries, particularly in accommodating the rising demand for halal-certified healthcareHealthcare. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
