There was a relationship between dementia knowledge and attitudes, as well as the attitudes and perceived person-centeredness. Training programs for acute care staff should prioritize improving knowledge and attitudes, a goal that hospital administrators can promote through training that develops technical and intellectual skills alongside interpersonal and moral skills in dementia care.
