الملخص:The study mainly seeks to discover ESL tertiary students from MARA University of Technology's level of writing apprehension and attitude towards academic writing as perceived by their writing instructors. The research tools used were in the form of questionnaire and interview. Results indicated that many of the students are apprehensive towards writing and have some negative attitude towards academic writing. The study also highlights the instructors' suggestions for more effective and interesting writing modules, such as through the incorporation of online writing activities, to be included in the writing courses for ESL tertiary students. © Common Ground, Noriah Ismail, Suhaidi Elias, Intan Safinas Mohd Ariff Albakri, P.Dhayapari Perumal, Indrani Muthusamy.
